Tulipa

During the 1600s, the Netherlands was swept by “Tulip Mania.” A then-unknown virus produced prized flame- and feather-like patterns, sending the price of rare bulbs soaring. While few could afford the flowers themselves, many acquired paintings and other representations.

These explorations continue that tradition.
